Browser Resolutions and Webpage Widths
With widescreen computers as popular as they are today, and with Firefox's usage now nearing 50% market share, I'm hoping that we're coming to a point where the web becomes a uniformly interpreted platform and is used for even more serious computing. I've already stopped pandering to people who don't move with the times. Many of my sites don't work in Internet Explorer and I put up a special disclaimer to those users instructing them to upgrade to Firefox, Safari, or even Chrome for that matter.
Mobile Browsing
With the explosion of mobile technology in the last year - first with the Blackberry, then the iPhone and now a slew of touch-screen-type phones with Windows Mobile and what not - we're drastically changing the way we use the Internet.
iPhone : Look at the web differently
I've been spending the last couple days playing with the iPhone, browsing websites that have been "iPhone-ized" and trying to develop iPhone versions of existing sites of mine. My thoughts? If the iPhone is as successful as people predict and the network/comms technology industry moves more toward mobile devices, then there will be a huge wave of a new kind of web development.
